Wreck of Time – Official Biography

Wreck of Time made its explosive debut in Brazil, opening for Blind Guardian in 2002. Their first album, Mind Sludge, received overwhelming acclaim, inspiring the band to expand their reach to the United States, where their fan base was rapidly growing.

The band solidified its lineup with Rafael Macedo (Guitars/Vocals/Songwriter), Marco Bicca (Drums), and Jeremy Villucci (Keyboards), crafting a signature sound that blends progressive, metal, and classical influences.

In 2012, Wreck of Time released From Sand - Part I, produced by Rafael Macedo and mastered by legendary producer Beau Hill (Ratt, Warrant, Alice Cooper, Europe). The album was distributed via major platforms, including Amazon, iTunes, and Spotify, and was supported by a series of successful shows across California.

Their momentum continued in 2013 with the release of the official music video for She’s Made From Sand, directed by Tommy Merry. The video gained traction across VEVO, YouTube, and the websites of their official endorsers, earning high praise from fans and music media.

In 2017, Wreck of Time returned to the studio to craft From Sand - Part II, the epic conclusion to their conceptual journey. The album was mixed by Jens Bogren (Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Angra) and Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. A preview of the album came with the release of the single and music video for Dusk in November 2017.

Following a lineup change in 2018, Rafael Macedo took on bass recording duties for the album. The highly anticipated From Sand - Part II officially dropped on October 24, 2022. Pushing creative boundaries, the band executed a bold marketing strategy—releasing a cinematic music video for each of the album’s 14 tracks, premiering a new one every Friday.

On January 11, 2025, Wreck of Time re-released From Sand - Part I with a fresh take on their original work. This special edition includes remixes of Please Sit Down and The Curtain of My Eyes, a brand-new instrumental track titled The QuickSand Paradox, and a powerful rendition of Led Zeppelin's classic Kashmir.
